The Program Impact Coordinator works in partnership among three CIS affiliates in North Carolina: CIS of Montgomery County, CIS of Randolph County and CIS of Thomasville. The coordinator will ensure fidelity to the CIS Model through coaching and support of school-based staff, as they uphold and advocate for students and families in these three counties. The position will work closely with the three Executive Directors and with a team from the CISNC office to build relationships and equip site staff with the knowledge and skills to be successful in their roles. This position will also work collaboratively among the three counties to deepen partnerships across all three affiliates and create opportunities to further deepen and grow services to students in this region, allowing the Executive Directors to focus on creating strong, sustainable affiliates.

We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in education, social work or public administration. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience working and school or with community-based organizations, is preferred. Our best candidate demonstrates a passion for and commitment to diverse students, their families and the community.

Our ideal candidate will have experience, knowledge or understanding of Communities In Schools or similar community based student support organizations, the demonstrated experience in building strong teams and creating relationships among partners, will have the ability to plan, organize and problem solve, and will have strong coaching and mentoring skills.

This is an 11-month position (August – June) with a salary of $41,250 (based on a 12 month $45,000 salary).

CIS of Randolph County is looking for adult tutors to work with middle school students at the George Washington Carver Community Center or high school students at Asheboro High School. You will work directly with small groups of students and/or one-to-one with other students. The opportunity to communicate with the teachers of the students being tutored about specific needs and assignments will be provided.
