For nearly 40 years, Communities In Schools has been helping students achieve in school, graduate and go on to bright futures. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
One on one and group mentoring provided by community volunteers and peers. Mentors are always needed and are trained at all times of the year.
For some students, the breakfast and lunch they receive at school are the only meals they eat. Back Pack Pals helps alleviate childhood hunger by sending a bag packed with child-friendly food home from school with the child on Friday afternoon.
At the beginning of each school year, CISRC, with the help of individuals, churches, and businesses in our community, provides school supplies to a growing number of students in our area.
The goal of ABC is to be a funding source of last resort for students who are unable to attend school field trips for financial reasons.
Various programs designed to keep middle and high school students involved in school.
In the Archdale-Trinity area, CISRC supplements the on-going school music program and sponsors a guitar class for 5th graders.
